From Japanese designer Norihiko Terayama, of Studio Note, who made this amazing flower ruler, comes Twotoo. A pair of tea cups that have been revived through tsunagi (bonding), a process commonly used to repair broken ceramic dishes, the silver and gold lines that run through each cup serve as evidence of where the ceramics broke, and Terayama believes that this results in a deep attachment that surpasses the beauty of its previous form. I love this idea of not only choosing to repair a broken item, but by enhancing its beauty by drawing attention to what might otherwise cause the item to be considered flawed.
