Peruvian-born, Philadelphia-based artist Cecilia Paredes' work is quite unique. While one aspect of her practice involves building intricate objects out of discarded natural elements, the work I'm truly interested in are these images of some of her photoperformances.
Using makeup and body paint, Paredes blends her subjects into their surroundings, capturing the end result of hours of work through photography. All of the above images are from her Landscape Series, but you can see some incredible animals, warriors, and more on her website.

Sian Zeng - magnetic wallpaper
These magnetic woodlands wallpapers come complete with a host of moveable characters that range from flying pigs and owls to houses and hedgehogs. And while they may be meant for a kid's room, I think they'd look pretty great in practically any room in my house.

Ann Marshall
Beige, 2010.
Used To Be A Southern Belle, 2011.
Portrait of a Three-Legged Rabbit, 2008.
Wait, 2011.
Sunshine and Molasses, 2010.
Ann Marshall's pastel and paper collages, with their many-layered patterns, are wonderful examples of not only the portrait genre, but they also represent mixed-media work at its finest. Whether focused directly on the viewer or off in their own world (or, as the case may be, cradling a rabbit wearing a neck cone), these tattooed ladies can't help but be utterly captivating.

Piet Hein Eek wallpaper
Yes, friends, you did read that correctly. The amazing Dutch furniture designer Piet Hein Eek, whose work I absolutely adore (see why right here), recently released a line of scrapwood wallpaper. And based on these pictures, this is some pretty amazing, realistic-looking wallpaper.

Front Projects - flowered wallpaper

I can't get over how beautiful this three-dimensional "flowered wallpaper" looks. Designed by Front Projects for Tensta Konsthall, the Tensta Center for Contemporary Art, in Sweden, I think this is a very clever way to brighten up a space. The flowers may not be real (they're silk and plastic), but that doesn't make them any less lovely.(Via Black*Eiffel)
