We had lots of hazelnuts left over from a chocolate hazelnut fig cake that Patrick made a few weeks ago, so he decided to make hazelnut brittle out of it. We wanted something relatively easy to make, where we wouldn't have to buy too many extra ingredients. We ended up having everything except for an extra cup of hazelnuts in the house already (go figure), but he decided to give it a try, and they came out great. You can find the recipe
