Ever wonder why italics were invented? How about the worldwide popularity of Helvetica? And just what is a serif anyway? Well, Canadian designer Ben Barrett-Forrest's stop-motion animation, "The History of Typography," covers it all beautifully, and in under 5 minutes at that.
