Polish artist Marta Klonowska creates some of the most remarkable and original glass sculptures I've ever seen.
Starting with a metal base, Klonowska builds each work from colored shards of glass, carefully constructing each life-sized animal. She draws her inspiration from the paintings of such masters as Francisco de Goya and Peter Paul Rubens - prints of which are often shown alongside the sculpture - in which the depiction of animals are used as status symbols of wealth and power.
