Francesco Librizzi - interior with stairs

This ghost of a staircase - stripped bare of all essentials to leave just its metal frame behind - is utterly remarkable in its simplicity and unexpectedness. I've always loved homes where the old and new are combined effortlessly in a space. And despite being the focal point of the interior, the black metal of these stairs, designed by Francesco Librizzi Studio, provide an incredible contrast against white walls and the interior's original, c.1900 details.
