Hill Shamia - wood casting

I am simply blown away by Israeli product designer Hilla Shamia's wood and cast aluminum furniture. The luminescence and fluidity of the aluminum combined with the warmth and color of the wood results in a remarkable series of furniture. I so badly want a chance to sit on one of these.

As Shamia explains:
The negative factor of burnt wood is transformed into aesthetic and emotional value by preservation of the natural form of the tree trunk, within explicit boundaries. The general, squared form intensifies the artificial feeling, and at the same time keeps the memory of the material.
