ilha formosa


Designer Tien-Min Liao created Ilha Formosa, a beautifully-conceived infographic book, poster and bookmark that uses paper illustrations to display facts about Liao's home country of Taiwan.






I particularly like the bookmark, which, when in use, looks like an island floating on top of the page.  As Liao explains of this project:
When I came to the United States, I noticed that many people don't know my hometown Taiwan. Some people even cannot tell the difference between Taiwan and Thailand, just because they sound alike. As a designer, I think I should do something to promote this beautiful island.
