Pia Wüstenberg - stacking vessels

Mixing vastly different medias will occasionally have the disconcerting effect of making an otherwise cohesive object look unfinished. So it's always nice to see mixed-media designs that work really well, such as these Stacking Vessels, by Pia Wüstenberg, which nicely combine wood, glass and ceramic.

I especially like the way in which these vessels work both as either a single object or separate pieces, and the various colors of the glass and textures of the wood and ceramic work very nicely together. Pia's Stacking Vessels will be shown at the London Design Festival.
