highland heart

I spent a very chilly week during the summer after my freshman year of college in Scotland. Edinburgh was an incredibly beautiful, old city, but it was a visit to the countryside that was the true highlight of the trip. Despite the rain, I have never before or since seen a land more hilly, green and gorgeous.

Photographer David Eustace has many reasons to love Scotland, including the fact that it's his homeland. These images are just a few from his stunning photo essay of the Scottish Highlands and Hebridean Islands, called Highland Heart, the latest by the anthropologist. And if you think these look great, you should really view them on the anthropologist website itself - the full sized images are truly spectacular.
