The Brain, a 14,280 cubic-foot laboratory designed by Olson Kundig Architects for a Seattle, Washington-based filmmaker. Modeled after that neighborhood birthplace of invention, the garage, this cast-in-place concrete box provides an ideally flexible, light-filled space to adapt as needed. And as you can see by the interior shots of floor-to-ceiling windows, towering bookcases and interesting features (fire pole, anyone?), it's hard to imagine not being inspired by such a cool workspace.
