Yes, they certainly are. Beautiful Planets, by Béatrix Li-Chin Loos, are a series of sculptural vases modeled after planets, through the use of a variety of different surfaces and materials, including wood, cardboard, leather, and glass. Definitely unlike anything I've ever seen before, in a very good way.
