book city jackets

Does anyone else remember covering their elementary school textbooks with paper bags? The plain kraft paper ones were good because you could draw all over them, but having grown up in the 80s, I was especially a fan of the shiny metallic colors.

Now, Book City Jackets doesn't carry the dizziness-inducing covers of my youth, but what they do have is something even better: in addition to their standard "bookshelf" and "reading list" series, they have some lovely artists edition jackets as well, featuring sets of illustrations by Boey, Michael Hsiung, Nishat Akhtar, Matt Cipov, R. Nick Kuszyk, Jing Wei, Eveline Tarunadjaja, Matt Caputo, and Morgan Blair. For $15 you get 3 beautiful book covers that also double as great-looking afforable art.
