Steffen Dam

I discovered the work of glass artist Steffen Dam a few weeks ago durin a visit to the Heller Gallery, and promptly wrote his name down as an artist to learn more about. Glass has a long history of being used to replicate forms in nature, and I love the way that Dam has created his own naturalistic shapes and displayed them as scientific specimens. These pieces are even more breathtaking in person.
