some of my work

Last year, I was lucky enough to spend two months at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, taking a glassblowing class with the very talented Sean Albert. It was so amazing to be able to spend two months where I basically lived in the hot shop, and had a regularly scheduled 3 hours a day to make whatever I wanted. Part of the class involved a visit by glass artist John DeWit, who taught us techniques for working with high-fire enamel paints. I had so much fun with the combining of painting and glassblowing techniques that I ended up playing with the paints for the rest of the session. These are some images of the work that came out of those two months.
