I absolutely adore Serena Mitnik-Miller's beautiful watercolors, particularly these many-colored, overlapping, bubble-like shapes.

In addition to being a talented artist, Serena also has has a great eye, as evidenced by her shop General Store, where you can find her colorfully painted blocks, as well as a whole slew of other wonderful art and objects.

Wow, Jack Spade, I must say that I am very impressed. Not only did you successfully create a nice gift guide, but you did so with an enviable combination of style and wit.

My budget may be for gifts under $100, and I may wish that money was no object, but you somehow knew that in my heart, what I'd really like to do is gift like a drunken sailor.

It makes me very happy that a store like the Museum of Useful Things exists. Kind of like a hardware store but with more than just tools, these guys sell items that provide the satisfaction of a well-designed, economical, functional product. From magnetic timers to twine dispensers, it's the type of place where the name and their byline - the beauty of function - really says it all.

I am so excited to share with all of you today, just in time for the cooler fall weather, the grand opening of SCARFSHOP.
